Timeless Season 2 is Stunning, A+

While the first season may have had a few bumps and was far from perfect, NBCs Timeless has truly come to exceptional standards in it's second season while becoming one of the best science fiction shows in recent memory.

Although it might not have as many fans as The Walking Dead or Game of Thrones, and is no where near on an epic scale of either of those series, the new season premiere of Timeless is so good that it confirms this show as one of the best new science fictions series out there.

In Season One, Timeless was still trying to find it's place in the world, and especially in the congested genre of science fiction and time travel. There was some character development but it was a bit slow, and although it had a cool premise and storyline, Timeless was just another fun and campy sci fi show.

That all changed in the second season premiere. Everything about the show jumped up to exceptional levels. With great character development, and incredible writing, the show truly becomes remarkable. The chemistry between all of the characters has intensified so much that it's extremely enjoyable to watch. The acting is better as well in the second season, especially by front woman Abigail Spencer who plays Lucy Preston.

But by far the best thing about the second season is how much of a punch it holds. It makes the first season look like nothing, and the action is extremely well done. You can't look away for a second as soon as you start watching the first episode, and within minutes your rooting for all of your favorite characters once again, and that's what a great sci fi show is meant to do.

However, there's still some good things that the show kept from season one. The B-rated acting, action scenes and gun fights are all still there and extremely enjoyable in each episode. With Timeless, the B movie stuff actually helps the show stand out against the others because, while it still isn't the best sci fi time traveling series out there, it's extremely enjoyable to watch and has truly progressed with everything in season two.
A+
