The Best Concerts of 2016

While Wildfire Reviews has a new location, this list includes the best shows in both Upstate New York & Vermont in 2016 we've witnessed.


1) Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band

February 27, Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY
The best concert of the year came through Upstate New York when Bruce delivered a set list that would make most fans cry at an amazing place for him to play a show, The Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY. By the end of the night, Bruce played an impressive 3 in half hour long show without any breaks.

2) Old Crow Medicine Show

Saturday & Sunday September 17 & 18,
Grace Potter's Grand Point North
Burlington, VT
Even though Grace was more impressive then she's been on most recent tour, Old Crow Medicine Show were by far the best ones at the festival. They put an amazing performance that was emotional and all out super fun.

3) Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds

Thursday, October 17, 2016
The Dock, Ithaca, NY
On a cold Thursday Night, Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds played one of their last shows with their original guitarist. The result was an awe inspiring energetic event that had everyone in the small place dancing.

4) Silversun Pickups

Higher Ground Burlington, VT
Everyone's favorite indie rock group had a sold out show at the Higher Ground in Burlington this summer. The result was a great energetic performance that shows how great this band really is in a perfect setting.

5) Bela Fleck & The Flecktones

Burlington Discover Jazz Festival
Spring 2016
With an amazing performance by their bassist, Bela Fleck & The Flecktones reunion was impressive indeed on the shores of Lake Champlain in Burlington, VT.

6) Driftwood
Moe. Afterparty, Utica NY Summer 2016
CNY's own Driftwood put on amazing performance after Moe. jammed out the Saranac Brewery. Surprisingly, they were even better then Moe. themselves.

7) Lindsey Stirling
Flynn Center of the Arts,
Burlington, VT
July 2016
No matter where you see Lindsey Stirling, she puts an unique and incredible performance unlike any other. It was most impressive to see the show at the most smallest venue on her 2016 tour.

8) The Sword

The Montage, Rochester, NY
January 2016
The Sword put on an amazing and incredible performance when they rolled through Rochester, NY. They proved they are one of the best metal bands to see right now.

9) Foals

Main Street Armory, Rochester, NY
Spring 2016
Even though they suffered from sound Issues, Foals put on a great performance. They are a new indie rock band that are well worth catching to see live.

10) Castle Creek

Funk N Waffles, Syracuse, NY
Spring 2016
Kim Monroe & Castle Creek put on an incredible performance at Funk N Waffles during a spring performance at Funk N Waffles. It was shortly after the death of a well known pop star, and it was fun to see the band play one of their songs.
