Wildfire Reviews best 10 albums of 2025

As we get closer to the end of the year, everyone's best of lists start to come out. Unlike Consequence of Sound and Rolling Stone, we tend to feature more bluegrass and blues artists as that's who we've reviewed live mostly throughout the year. However, we will include other genres of music as well in this list!

Kyle Hollingsworth of String Cheese Incident releases new solo album, B+

Legendary keyboardist of String Cheese Incident, Kyle Hollingsworth has released another studio album titled "All We Are" which was released earlier in August this year. The musician pumps out some jam friendly tunes on the new record, with similar beats and grooves to a String Cheese record mixed in with more indie sounds.

Sierra Hull captures on new album, A+

Bluegrass rising star and mandolin prodigy Sierra Hull recently released the first independent album of her career, "A Tip Toe on High Wire". The result is a fascinating journey through her life bringing upbeat melodies and high positive energy with incredible mandolin playing and vocals.

Big Richard debuts with a good first record on Girl Dinner, A

Colorado based lady group Big Richard released their first album last month called Girl Dinner. The album shows the new band is a rising force in the bluegrass world.

The southern blues sisters are back with Bloom, A

 

Rebecca and Megan Lovell, the two frontwomen of Larkin Poe, are back this year with 2025's Bloom. Their new record proves the ladies will forever have a rock n roll side to them with a bit of southern blues thrown in.

Our first review since June, Wildfire Reviews is back with our 2019 best albums! As always, we try and calculate records from artists in every genre. Jenny Lewis is back with On the Line. It's an impressive album filled with everything we love from one of the best indie rock stars around.

Weezer's Teal album is a sing a long, B

Although it certainly isn't the band's greatest album they've ever done, the Teal album is proof that Weezer are still having fun doing the thing they love.

Golden Hour is a country masterpiece, A+

Golden Hour is Kasey Musgrave's third studio release, and it shows the country singer song writer isn't slowing down. Not only has she released the best album of her career and the year so far, but it's a country masterpiece.

In a year where several emerging artists have won the hearts of millions, Wildfire Reviews covers 2017's best albums from all different kinds of music genres.

Chris Stapleton offers this year's best album, A+

Country singer song writer Chris Stapleton has returned with a powerful double wide sophomore album. The result is a wonderful listen and each track is powerful, proving that Stapleton is at the top of his game and ready for more.

Arcade Fire's Everything Now is just ok, B-

While it may not be the bands' best studio release, Everything Now is a grander version of Arcade Fire. Unfortunately, there's too much wrong with the album to make a new classic, yet, it's still fairly good because it comes from a group of incredibly talented musicians.

Lana Del Rey's new album is just OK, B

Despite some truly impressive work with her previous records, the Canadian pop singer's new record is just about half as good as the others, although it still does show some promising material.

4:44 is a great new rap record, A-

There maybe dozens of new rap and hip hop stars. But Jay-Z has returned with an album that confirms he's still a powerful force in the music business.
