Discographies Dissected: Steven Soderbergh's Contagion

What: Movie Review (Contagion)

Steven Soderbergh hasn’t let up the pace throughout his movies over the years and this is proven in 2011’s Contagion. While slightly uneven than his other films, the movie proves that the director can change things up a bit in style. The good things out way the bad in this particular film which is about a new disease that kills over 20 million people in today’s world and its effect on different types of people. While a disaster movie, Contagion should no where near be compared such films as the Day After Tomorrow or The Core simply because it’s the screen writing, acting, action and high tension are great throughout the film. It’s actually a bit scary as well, filming from the stand point of what would happen if a disease like small pox happened today. Jude Law, Lawrence Fishbourne, Matt Dawmon, Gwynth Paltrow and Kate Winslet all give memorable performances.

Overall Rating: B
