This past Saturday Night, Vermont natives Chad Hollister Band rocked the Rusty Nail. The result was an electrifying two sets that had everyone at the nail dancing and swaying throughout the night.
On the verge of releasing it's new album, Chad Hollister Band decided to throw a party at the Rusty Nail. With winter soon ending, the people of Stowe wanted to dance, and dance they did. With the groovy sounds of Chad Hollister Band, the dance floor was alive from the very first set to the last. The Rusty Nail was electrified with the performance, proving just how strong, talented and unique The Chad Hollister Band can be.
Chad himself has a great personality, and that personally showed all night at the Nail. He frequently chatted all night during songs, giving great appreciation to his sponsor, Trapp Brewing. Chad even did a birthday speech to his mother, who was in the crowd, before playing an emotional "Mama Knows," just one of the songs on the new album. Stop the World.
Stop the World is Chad Hollister's new album, complete with his band. On the record, the band sounds tighter then ever. It's a great new sound to Chad Hollister and has an impressive horn section. Most of the songs are top notch material, including the first one, "Eyes", that not only has great guitar and rhythm playing but also powerful lyrics that shows us all Chad is indeed a Vermonter.
Live, the band's highlight is guitarist Jeff Poremski who plays the guitar as if it really is a lovable object. He's a powerhouse of the group, and is a great match up to Chad's own guitar playing and singing.
It was great to see Saturday night everyone in the ten piece band there performing at their best. The horn section was just as great as everyone else, and it was a pleasure finally seeing them jam out with Chad for the evening.
It was a fun party for everyone involved and it was well worth going to. The concert might have been a huge promotion for their new album, but at the same time it was equally a great chance to see the full band perform live.
Meanwhile, make sure to pick up Stop the World, Chad Hollister's new record. It's a great piece of music from the first track to the last. What might be most impressive is not just the guitar playing or the horns on each song, but the song writing and Chad's ability to play the guitar and sing. His vocals are spot on with almost every song on the album, especially "Eyes".
For those wanting to experience something new, with a little bit of rock and roll and funk thrown in, check out Stop the World from Vermont's own Chad Hollister Band.
