A Quiet Place Part II isn't as great as the first, but still very good, A

While the first film is only slightly better, A Quiet Place 2 is still as original and equal parts a horror masterpiece that greatly expands it's universe to new and better heights. Above everything else, the child actors are the star of the film.

Very much like the first film, John Krasinki's A Quiet Place Part II is a short but sweet horror flick that's intense and pulse pounding from the very beginning to the end. The first ten minutes of the movie beautifully displays what the rest of the film will be like: more monsters, more thrills and more Blunt. The acting in the film is superb, especially of course by Emily. However, the real stars of the film aren't the adults, but the child actors Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe who play Reagen and Marcus in the film. Their performances are just as great as Blunt's if not better, and you'll be cheering both of them on by the end of the movie.

Another highlight of the film is the incredible cinematography. Each scene of the film is wonderfully shot, and although it's short overall, the amount of detail in each scene lets you really experience it and be a part of the movie. 

John Krasinski, who also stars very briefly in the film, does a superb directing job and is at the top of his game with this one. His instincts for the film are extremely good, carefully expanding on a world that's fascinating as much as it is terrifying. The movie eerie's sound track helps keeps the suspense rolling in. Above everything else, the movie is extremely suspenseful, and like the first one, your at the edge of your seat for most of it.

Overall, the film is more or less very similar to the first movie, which all together certainly isn't a bad thing, considering how fantastic it was. However, the film just wasn't as completely original as the first, and it would have been nicer if it did have some newer twists to it like the first film did.
