St. Vincent charm's Denver Ballroom, B-

St. Vincent performs Friday night, May 16, 2025, at Mission Ballroom

Anne Clark, better known as St. Vincent, gracefully performed to a near sold out show at Denver's Mission Ballroom this Friday night.

St. Vincent doesn't tour too often, so when she does, it's best to be lucky enough to grab a ticket to one of her shows. Recently Rolling Stone Magazine named her the 23rd greatest guitar player of all time, and when you see her perform live, you can understand why. The beautiful Anne Clark doesn't pull out any beats or stops when she performs live, giving everything to her performance. Half the time she shreds her signature electric guitar, but the other time, she can be an impressive dancer and knows how to work the crowd.

Although the concert wasn't perfect by any means, St. Vincent was clearly in a good mood and dazzled the crowd with her electrifying guitar playing skills throughout the evening.

Halfway through the set, Annie showed the Mission Ballroom she isn't afraid of crowd surfing and surfed her way while performing her signature hit song 'New York'.

She opened the set with a solo and at the same time, electrifying performance of 'Reckless'. However, the highlight of the night was when she played 'Broken Man' a current track off of her newest record which one multiple grammys this past year.

However, it wasn't a perfect concert by a long show. Although the sound was great and heavy bass rocked the ballroom throughout her performance, the band was unfortunately off key several times throughout her set.

St. Vincent also didn't include one of, if not her biggest hit song 'Down', in the setlist which was a bit of a letdown. Her entire show was less than an hour and a half, a solid 1 hour and 15 minutes including the encore. Although most rock shows don't last too long, it would have been nice to have her include some hit missing songs that truly would have made the evening a slam dunk.

Despite being off key one or two times, the other members of her band were all great the entire setlist, highlighted by guitarist Jason Falkner and keyboardist Rachel Edcroff.

St. Vincent is absolutely worth seeing perform live, and she has wonderful positive attitude and energy to top it all off.
