Brian Wilson delivers a jaw dropping set at the Flynn, A

Last night, music legend Brian Wilson delivered one of the best setlists any Beach Boys fan could ask for at the Flynn in Burlington, Vermont. With one set consisting of hits and the other the band performing 'Pet Sounds' in it's entirety, it was a historic moment for everyone.
It was of course, a sold out show as the older crowd began packing into the small Flynn Theater last night. The weather turned out great, and it was a perfect Tuesday night to see a music legend at a historic venue in downtown Burlington. There were multiple historic things about last night because Brian Wilson, the lead singer of the Beach Boys, would be performing 'Pet Sounds' in it's entirety.

As the show progressed, it was clear that the older audience had intense respect for the musician on stage. By the end of the concert, although Wilson himself is up there in age and needs some help getting by, he still can perform extremely well. It was also great to see Wilson loving the early Beach Boys music as much as everyone else.

The best thing about Thursday night wasn't necessarily Brian Wilson himself, but the amazing set list. It was as if he wanted to play every song you wanted to hear, including perhaps the best Beach Boys album of their career. The first set consisted of mostly older Beach Boys tunes, from 'In My Room' to the famous 'California Girls'. Brian Wilson and his band were having great fun performing each one of these hits that were all from the band's earlier albums.

It was a great venue to see Wilson in. The crowd there was extremely lucky to see him and his band because the Flynn was the smallest theater the artist would be playing on this tour, only holding around 1,500 people. Of course, the Flynn itself was a beautiful building dating back to the early 1930s.

There was a short intermission and then Wilson & Company came back on stage, performing the album 'Pet Sounds' from the first song to the last. It was amazing to see the music legend perform songs like 'Wouldn't it be Nice' 'Sloop John B' mixed into the rest of his set list. Wilson commented on almost every song, including 'God Only Knows', which is Paul Mccartney's favorite song that he wrote.

During the encore, the band performed classic Beach Boys songs that got everyone up and dancing like 'Barbara Ann' and 'Good Vibrations.'

Another great thing about the Flynn is how awesome the sound is. You could hear every instrument clearly and Brian's voice, even though it did fade off and on throughout the show. Of course, you couldn't expect anything less from the aging original Beach Boys member. Al Jordine, another original member, was also present jamming out to his guitar as the night continued.

One of the highlights of Tuesday night was Jordine's son, back up vocalist Matt Jardine who has a great singing voice that fit in well with the band.

Brian Wilson's sold out show at the Flynn last night was a success in more ways then one, not just selling out the venue.  It was a great thing to be a part of for everyone there.
