Molly Tuttle and the Golden Highway rock out Aspen, A

Above: Kyle and Molly Tuttle perform at the Belly Up in Aspen Co, on Sunday, August 11, 2024

This past Sunday night, bluegrass legends Molly Tuttle and The Golden Highway debuted at the Belly Up, in Aspen, CO for the first time. The performance was great as always, with every member of the band giving it their all proving that Molly Tuttle and her band is one of the best live acts you can see in the music industry today.

"We absolutely love Colorado, but this is our first time in Aspen!" Proclaimed Molly as the band began their set Sunday night. While it was a Sunday night, it was clear fans were there to dance and party the entire night. It was a very energetic crowd the entire set, with lots of dancers and cheers for all the band members in the crowd. It was almost like every one knew each member of the band.

By the time Molly Tuttle and the Golden Highway graced the stage around 9PM, the 450-seat venue Belly Up was packed. While not a 100% sell out show, the venue was near capacity. One of the band's first songs was an impressive bluegrass cover of the Rolling Stone's 'She's a Rainbow'.

Everyone in the band was beyond exceptional Saturday night, but it was Kyle Tuttle on the banjo who truly stole the show. Whenever he started his solos, the crowd cheered with delight, and he worked his magic with his banjo throughout the night.

Molly continued her set with fan favorite 'El Dorado' which had a very Aspen feel to it Sunday night. Although her new performances don't include their acclaimed version of Jefferson's 'White Rabbit' anymore, they do still do an Alice in Wonderland themed moments including great performances of 'Stranger Things', 'Queen of Hearts;' and 'Alice in the Bluegrass'.

While they seemed to play mostly newer songs off of their acclaimed award winning album 'City of Gold'. the band also played older favorites like 'Dooley's Farm' and 'Crooked Tree' near the ending of their set as usual.

Molly is one of the most entertaining and best musicians you can see in the music industry this year. Her signature golden acoustic guitar was on full display Sunday night, and she was thrilled to be in Aspen for the first time.

Molly is absolutely worth going to, and her grammy award winning band is absolutely incredible with each performance.
