Twisters is a great sequel with a surprisingly good storyline, acting, and of course, special affects to satisfy the whole family.
The original Twister came out in 1996, more than 20 years ago. Now, apparently Hollywood thought it was time to release a direct sequel to the movie. Although it doesn't have any of the actors from the original, the storyline is more or less the same as the first one.
Most disaster movies are filled with lousy CGI, characters and storylines and aren't worth the time to watch in theaters, but this one is different.
There's surprisingly great characters, story lines, and special affects that will satisfy most movie goers. Twister won the hearts of minds of many when it was released in 1996, and now, the sequel is aiming to do the same.
The acting is surprisingly good by both lead actors, Glen Powell and newcomer Daisy Edgar Jones. This is Daisy's fourth film, and most folks will remember her from Where The Crawdads Sing that came out a few years ago.
The star of the movie of course, are the twisters. There's tons of weather specs in the movie that come a long with severe storms and storm chasing that make the movie a bit more interesting.
Overall, Twisters is a great summer block buster and worth going to see it in the theaters, as long as you've seen the first movie.
