Angelina Jolie gives a powerful performance as Mariane Pearl, a woman in frantic desperation when her husband journalist Daniel is kidnapped by Al Qaeda. . The film is urgent and fast paced as Angelina Jolie's character races against time in order to try and save her husband from the kidnappers. The difficult subject matter of the beheading of Daniel Pearl is portrayed fully here is a complete tragedy, and the movie, while sad & intense, is above accurate account of the events. A Mighty Heart maybe hard to watch at times, but nonetheless is an important subject in the post 9/11 world and is powered by Angelina Jolie's performance.
