Funny, full of color, imagination and thought provoking, Ralph Breaks the Internet is a great sequel. In fact, it's even better than the first film, and one of the best animated films of 2018.
Maybe the Hairy Potter franchise should take note of the new Ralph franchise, because Ralph Breaks The Internet does everything a sequel should do and much more. There's a solid, middle and ending to the film. It introduces great new characters while keeping strong bonding and character development with old ones. The animation is more than above average, and there's so much creativity and wonder in the film that it may stay a hit for many months, if not years to come. In fact, we can all agree that's seven years was far too long and that this film should been released a lot sooner. That may be the only bad thing about the movie.
Most of all, Ralph Breaks The Internet works the most because it doesn't lag throughout the entire film, nor does it make things simple, despite being a movie for kids. It's a kids movie that adults will love, and although talking about the internet might be a thing of the past by now, Ralph manages to put a new spin on it that's highly entertaining and satisfying to watch.
Let's not forget about the movies most beloved characters-Ralph (voiced by John C. Reilly) and Vanellope, who's done by Sarah Silverman. You can tell that both actors are having a lot of fun voicing the characters, and they really couldn't have picked a better pair. There's some strong character development and bonding between the two that fans will love and enjoy as they take their adventure across the internet. Gal Gobot does a good job introducing Shank, and of course, Felix and Calhoun are back as well.
The best thing about Ralph Breaks the Internet is by far the animation. It's wonderful to look at it, and it introduces so many new concepts that are highly original and thought provoking, which is what every animated film should do. It's a great film, and has one of the best Disney Princess scenes the studio has to offer so far.
