We break down all the albums we've recently personally listened to and throughout the year. Here's our list of 2024's best albums.
Top 5 best records of 2024
1) Kaitlin Butts-Roadrunner
This year was a great year for cowgirl Kaitlin Butts. After releasing her critically acclaimed record Roadrunner, the up and coming country star hit the road for an extensive North American tour that saw her playing small bars and clubs to big festivals. It was all because of her record, Roadrunner, which is an incredible listen from the first track to the last. Kaitlin doesn't lose track of who she is throughout the record, and her feistiness shows an almost every song. What stands out is her incredible 'Wild Juanita's Cactus Juice' along with a great music video that goes along with it, and of course the title track.
2) Charli XCX-Brat
Brat is on top of everyone's list this year for best album, and for good reason. Charlie XCX's 6th studio record truly redefines and shows who she is and is a masterpiece pop punk record for the decade. It's a perfect pop record that's filled with surprising emotion and fascinating sounds that only she can come out with. Hopefully Brat will finally push Charlie into the mainstream pop world because after this incredible piece of music, she deserves it.
3) Jack White-No Name
The legendary White Stripes front man is back with yet another incredible record showing he has no signs of slowing down. Despite everyone knowing he's from the White Stripes, White has an extensive music discography by himself now, and No Name is one of his best records yet. A true force in both blues and rock, No Name pushes White to the harder side of things and almost has a metal edge to it. It's a hard rocking good times, and fans of the White Stripes or White won't be disappointed.
4) Kacey Musgraves-Deeper Well
Kacey Musgraves is now a pop country superstar, and for good reason. She's released some incredible records since her breakthrough debut, Same Trailer Different Park. On Deeper Well, Kacey manages to get in touch with her country western self once again, avoiding the pop of her last album. The result is an incredible well written and performed record where every song is a true joy to listen to. Kacey is one of the best song writers in the business today, and on Deeper Well it clearly shows.
5) Sierra Ferrell-Trail of Flowers
Another country girl rising to power right behind Kacey is the new legend Sierra Ferrell. Sierra's confidence, song writing and singing is on full display with her second full length record, Trail of Flowers. The album has some truly incredible and powerful country western songs like 'Fox Hunt', 'American Dreaming' and 'Dollar Bill Bar'. She truly expands herself on this record as it's more than double the length of her first album, and it's a delight from front to back.

7) Beyonce-Cowboy Carter
8) Johnnie Blue Skies-Passage Du Disur
