Greensky Bluegrass perform a near four long concert on New Years Eve, A+

This New Years, veteran bluegrass jammers Greensky Bluegrass performed a near four-hour concert at the Mission Ballroom welcoming 2025 for all that attended.

"This is my dream, a never ending Greensky Bluegrass event!" proclaimed Paul Hoffman as the time hit the 3-hour mark Tuesday night on New Years Eve. The crowd didn't seem to mind the extra length of the show despite a good majority beginning to leave before the encore. It was a wonderful night to bring in the new years with longtime friends Fruition and Greensky Bluegrass in Denver.

The Mission Ballroom is an iconic venue to see a concert, with great sound systems and a decent sized capacity without it being super huge. Both Greensky Bluegrass and Fruition were great additions to the year's line up, with the same two bands also performing the previous night.

The crowd was also excited to see Fruition live, with as much dancing and cheering going on throughout the venue as Greensky. While they initially performed only a 45 minute opening set, the band joined Greensky later on in the show performing the highlight of the entire evening. It also happened to be Mimi Naja's birthday, and she did a wonderful job singing and playing her various instruments throughout the night.

However, the main event of course was Greensky Bluegrass when they graced the stage around 9PM. Five hours later around 1AM, the band finally left, in what was a night filled with banjo, mandolin and incredible bluegrass music. Although they did do a 30 minute break, Greensky showed no signs of slowing down throughout the evening, performing a wonderful set list of their own songs. The highlight of the night came when Fruition later joined them on stage, with both bands performing a wonderful mixture of cover songs.

"The theme for the night of love," proclaimed Greensky Bluegrass, as Fruition came on stage. They started the covers with a superb version of 'A Whole Lotta love", and an amazing version of Bob Marley's "Could You Be Loved".

Overall, it was a show absolutely worth going to, and Greensky Bluegrass is a band that's worth seeing every time they are in town, along with Fruition.
