What to Watch on Demand: The Americans, A+

What: TV Review
Who: The Americans, S1
When: February 2015
Why: Another Weekly Binge from Wildfire Reviews

There's so many good television shows out right now it's hard to choose which one to start binge watching. Look no further because The Americans is top grade entertainment, providing to be one of the best newer shows out on television right now. (Although It's been around now for more than two years). For fans of Alias, you will love this show, especially with all the wigs!
The Americans is an intense spy drama based around family and what was it like living in suburbia America at the time of Reagan's administration during the Cold War. The show hardly ever has a dull moment with thrills around every corner, great action and fight scenes, and intense drama at home. What makes the Americans a better than average spy drama is that it focuses on everything else going on with the characters more so than the actual spying, however it never leaves that to fault.
The Americans is also a fascinating idea because mostly all other spy shows reveal the KGB to be complete enemies and never have told their side of the story of what it's like to be a Russian Spy living in the U.S. during the time of the Cold War.
Above all there's great chemistry between the lead actors, especially the all American FBI family and the Russian spy ones living next door to each other.
However, it's one of those shows that you have to pay attention in every episode, but this actually works in an extremely well done manner making The Americans one of the best, if not the best, show on television right now. Everything about The Americans works and there really isn't a single bad thing about the show.
