Les Miserables is entertaining despite shaky close ups, awkward camera shots and a lukewar performance by Russel Crowe

What: Movie Review

Taking base from the longest running musical in history, Les Miserables mostly benefits from an incredible cast. Its storyline is rather interesting as it also takes place during the French Revolution, and the characters are likable and forth coming. Everyone in the film, especially Anne Hathaway, seems to outshine a reluctant Russel Crowe, who seems to shrug this one off. However, brilliant acting and singing come from everyone else involved with the film, and its pretty much a dream cast consisting of Russel Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman and Amanda Seyfried. Overall, the film is entertaining despite too many close ups, Crowe, and some even more awkward camera shots that make for some confusing angles.
Grade:
