Dawn is an ape friendly good time, A+

What: Movie Review
Who: Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
When: December 2014
Why: Spinning new life into the franchise

Despite the daunting task of being the 'sequel to the remake of Planet of the Apes' the new Planet of the Apes films have never been better with Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. The sequel takes place several years after the events of Rise of the Planet of the Apes after a devastating disease wipes out most of humanity. (In the original films it was nuclear war).
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is actually an amazing science fiction adventure and achievement in film making. It's not only better than Rise of the Planet of the Apes, but everything about it is unique, eye popping and to match the breath taking special effects, thought provoking and great plot with new characters you actually care about it.
If you fell in love with Caesar in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, then you'll love him even more in the second movie: he commands the screen whenever he's present, and the intense detail that went into his feature and character is amazing. And although the human drama might be insignificant to the apes, lets face it, were here to watch those lovable monkeys.
And in this film, you get plenty of them. There seems to be apes everywhere, and multiple ape characters that outside their human counter parts in the film. Which is a good thing, because although you never get to hear 'Those Dirty Stinkin Apes!' Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is proof that this new franchise is as strong as ever and fans young and old wont be disappointed.

A+
