Neighbors 2 isn't as funny as first, B-

Above: Zack Efron and Seth Rogan in 2016's Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising
While there are some funny moments in Neighbors 2, most of them were shown in the trailer. It almost makes you wish they would have made a sequel to any other of Rogan's classic comedies other then Neighbors.
However, Neighbors 2 is funny for several moments throughout the film, proving it's not a complete dud. Whether you like him or not, the star of the film is definitely Efron, who even shows a bit of acting in between the funny moments. Rogan and Rose Byrne reprise their roles as parents Mac and Kelly. Chloe Grace Moretz gets into a different role, and although she doesn't quite fit in, she acts fairly well in Neighbor 2.
Despite the acting, the film's disadvantage almost outweigh its advantages. Unlike the first one, the comedic moments are few and far between. When they do come rolling up on screen, most of them were unfortunately seen in the trailer, so it's almost like you've seen the movie before. And of course, while the second film does offer interesting college gender quality themes, it's far as original as the first film. It's almost as if the studio, Zack Efron and Seth Rogan tried their best, but the result is a bit disappointment.
The college girls in the film who are trying to make changes in frat party life are also a severe blow to the movie. It makes the average viewer think, is this the kind of thing that actually happens in real life college?
The screenplay is loosely put together, and you could say that about the the entire film.
Fans of the first movie may give this film a slight approval, but most people may think this is just a gag from Rogan & Company, which is unfortunately because everyone knows they know how to make a good comedy. Neighbors 2 just doesn't fit in the same league as Pineapple Express and This is the End, where sequels would be more then welcomed.
