It was worth the wait. Fall Out represents the best of what Amazon Prime has to offer. The studios, creators and directors all did a fantastic job on the show. It's also one of the best video game adaptations of all time.
What makes Fall Out so different than other similar related post-apocalyptic genre series and movies that have come out recently? It actually feels like a video game when your watching each episode. You're cheering for all the characters, even the bad ones. Amazon's Fall Out has it all, even if your not a fan of the video games or have no knowledge of the source material before going in. If anything, else, watching Fall Out if you're not a fan will make you want to play the video games even more.
What Fall Out gets ride above everything else is it's big expansive views of the wasteland. The big budget proves that Amazon can get something right. Blended in with the 50s music and soundtrack, it's an absolute blast. Who knew a nuclear war could be this much fun?
Another thing Fall Out gets is its characters. The main characters are all interesting, and the actors are great at playing them. However, it's Ella Purnell's Lucy that truly steals this show, and were rooting for her every time we see her on screen.
The storyline and pacing in this show are also great. There's a lot of violence in it, but it's video game violence. The violence almost comes off as quirky and its own source of entertainment, much like The Walking Dead or Game of Thrones.
The best thing about Fall Out is its dark humor, which makes it an extremely entertaining show in every episode. Lisa Joy and Jonathon Nolan sure did a wonderful job creating this show, and it's well worth a watch into the next streaming adventure, even if you haven't played the games.
