It’s album number ten for Seattle based group Pearl Jam, now
defined as classic rock. Their new album, Lightning Bolt, has been released
this month and should satisfy all Pearl Jam fans. Pearl Jam have a knack for
creating music of all different styles. One song will be hard and fast paced,
while the next song is slow and emotional. Such is the case with Lightning
Bolt. Every song on the album is different. Certain tunes shine out with raw
gripping power, especially of course “Sirens”, which maybe the best tune on the album. Yet, as different as each song is on ‘Lightning
Bolt’, it’s nonetheless Pearl Jam who have created their own genre of music.
The album is never boring, always changing and a great example of an amazing band
doing what comes natural to them.
