St. Vincent's new album is a masterpiece

Who: St. Vincent (Annie Clark)
What: Self Titled Album , St. Vincent
When: March 9th, 2014

Annie Clark came onto the music scene some dozen or so years ago with her own unique sound and voice. Now she's emerged with her fourth studio album, that's by far one of if not the best of her career, and perhaps the greatest of 2014 so far.
The album is magnificent. It's a surprising yet soothing and charming change of pace from Annie's earlier albums as guitar is the main feature here. The album screams pop in almost every sense of the word, but a careful listen to it suggests their are much deeper sub genres of music holding forth. Nobody can experiment pop like Annie Clark. Her uniqueness weirdness, unusual look and spellbinding voice makes her so different than today's pop stars that are hitting the radio stations. She actually has talent.
This talent is seen on full force on the new album. Every song is powerful and stands alone by itself, from the first one to the last. There is no boring point in any part of the album, making it enjoyable to listen to all the way through.
St. Vincent is probably Annie's best album of her career so far because it truly shows what this artist is capable of. Like most of her work, it takes a few times to listen to it to truly like it and respect her, but once that happens, you are hooked. St. Vincent is one of this year's best albums, and well worth getting for any indie or pop fan.
