Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings are one of those artists that continue to grow and expand their music knowledge and quality with each album. The same can be said with their latest studio album, which is their best one to date by far.
Battling cancer doesn't seem to affect the energetic funk and soul singer song writer. Sharon Jones returns full force with her new album, Give the People What They Want. The Album is a great mixture of talented beautiful singing and upbeat beats. It really is a perfect name for the album, because that's what it actually does-it gives the fans what they want. The album will please old fans of the band and will draw new ones in. It's not a completely different sound, but the album does offer some impressive and good new changes to her music that is more upbeat than anything else. It's easy to listen to, and to dance to as well. Give the People what they Want is hopefully a sign that 2014 will be a great year for new album releases.
