Why: As Part of Wildfire Reviews what to what series

The answer will always be yes, despite almost every actor of the show hasn't been in anything relevant since then. (Except of course Alyson Hannigan)
Before there was True Blood, before there was Twilight & Vampire Diaries, there was the one show that brought Vampires into the mainstream media and created ideas for all of the above. That's Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, the first major project from every fan boy's now favorite director, Joss Whedon.
Although Buffy the Vampire Slayer aired almost ten years ago, the show is still gaining more new fans more so than ANY other show, yes, even Firefly, that has been on the air in the past 15 years.
Many older folks are wondering why their kids are spending so much time watching and binge watching Buffy when they could be watching so many other things.
The answer is that Buffy IS still relevant in today's world. The show offers a bit of vampire horror and mythology like True Blood while mixing it in with the High School drama that Vampire Diaries and so many CW shows offer. So many kids, and people can relate to Buffy because they see themselves in the characters of the show. As much as it is about fantasy, vampires, werewolves, demons and other monsters, it's about the average day to day life of your average American blonde teenager. (Who also fights vampires).
This show was awesome. Before there was team Edward and team Jacob, or team Eric and Bill, there was Spike and Angel-the ultimate vampire bad asses. How about all that fake blood that's on True Blood, or the all the 'Vampire groupies?'. Buffy had all of that too.
It's a no-brainer that Buffy is awesome because of the characters, or the scoobie gang, and not surprisingly, Buffy herself is actually one of the most 'least favorites of the show', although she has her moments.
It maybe be daunting because it's seven seasons long, but its worth almost every episode. Buffy also has one of the greatest television episodes ever done, 'Hush', and just as equally as good but the under rated 'Beer Bad'.
See why the show that first brought vampires into the modern day upbringings for yourself, and you can at least watch Seasons 2, and 3 (Can you say Faith anyone), to see why this show is one of the best cult series of the past 20 years.

Grade:
A+
