You'll have a blast at Guardians of the Galaxy

What: Movie Review
Who: Guardians of the Galaxy
When: August 2014
Why: As Part of Marvel's never ending comic cinema Universe

Despite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles dominating the box office this weekend, the movie your going to want to see is Guardians of the Galaxy. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the name, the Guardians are an off brand Marvel super hero group that isn't part of the main bunch. However, this doesn't stop the movie from being utterly fantastic and awesome at every angle.
The Guardians of the Galaxy are kind of like the Avengers but for outer space. Its a pure science fiction flick, complete with many space battles and fight scenes in it to keep both super hero buffs and sci fi fans happy.
The Guardian themselves are a bunch of ragtag outlaws, and each character in the movie is wonderfully done, especially Groot and Rocket.
Each character is unique in their own way, and adds a little more spunk to the film. There isn't a boring character-or moment in the entire film, and that's a great thing on itself.  The storyline is fast paced and keeps you drawn in without a blink of an eye.
The best thing about the movie of course, excluding the main characters, is the special effects. Their deaf defying brilliant and amazing to watch, especially in IMAX 3D. The Guardians of the Galaxy is a great film because its not just another outer space science fiction adventure, there is something new to it because of the unusual look- and hey, its super fun.
Last but not least, this movie is pretty funny. You'll be laughing several times throughout the film at all the insane jokes cracked in the film, which serves as a nice backdrop to the crazy story and scenes. But who are we kidding on the crazy note? This is Guardians of the Galaxy.
It's meant to be funny and eye popping, and not meant to be taken in complete seriousness.
If your looking for a serious super hero film, go see Captain America or Man of Steel.
Marvel fans won't be let down, and you won't have as much fun on any other movie this summer then this one. It's a classic, especially the music that's played throughout the film.
If you can, see this movie in IMAX 3D-its actually worth the price.
Also, stay for the ending after the credits!

Grade:
A+
